Well, here's how the band started. One day, in January, while we were in the lunch room we heard that there was an opening at the Cinco de Mayo 2002 celebration downtown. The four of us decided we would enter. About 3 days later we found out that we can't sing or play tejano music, so we dropped out. Two songs were already written so we decided they would become a band. That's how Wandering Jew came about.

Shane I think we are doing great. At first we started out pretty rough. I couldn't get drums until I got a job. Our band went three months making songs without the drums. Finally, on the Saturday spring break started, I bought a set in Abeline. When I arrived at the pawn shop to pick up the drums, I noticed IT DIDN'T HAVE A SNARE!! I was desparate for a drum set. I knew I'd find a snare in Anson somewhere. I believe I finally found one Tuesday that spring break. It was the first time I'd ever played the drums. It took me about a week to write my part for our first song, Diex.

After that first song, writing my parts became easier for every song. Now we have almost 10 songs written for "the album", and we have a show on the 31st this month. I can't wait!

Jerry Well. No wait a minute, I'm sick of seeing things that start off with well. The idea for the band was developed after a talent show. We came up with the name by looking through a plant encyclopedia. It was literally the first thing that I, the bassist, saw. This brings me to an interesting quote-"most great discoveries are made by accident." I think we are a great discovery mainly because we have been friends for about a year and we had never mentioned anything about being in a band together; although, the guitarist, Daniel and I, the bassist were in another band, called Dirty South, in which I was the singer. We were totally committed and, the other two guys were not interested in completing what they helped us start. Wandering Jew really blows Dirty South away anyway.

Kacy Yeah, these guys I'm working with are extremely good! They have a lot of skill. I'm glad that we are coming along so well, and that I've had the opportunity to make music with them. Daniel is an awesome guitarist and writes kick ass riffs. Jerry adds his flavor of skill into Daniel's riffs and he writes his own riffs, which Daniel adds his riffs and great solos to. They perfect the songs together. Shane never ceases to amaze me. This guy has only been playing the drums since March, and I believe he is a natural. He was born to do this, as were Daniel and Jerry. Again, I am honored to have the privelage to work with these guys! I can't wait for the show on the 31st.
